Burning. Worse than any he’d ever felt, worse than the living sun that had once tried to possess him. That, that had been a violation, tearing through him with fire and rage.
This was worse. Pure light, searing every corner of his very being, pushing into places it didn’t belong. Pushing into a space already too filled with galaxies and the never ending flow of time.
He’d thought he’d be safe, playing this game of angels and demons. But they were not bound by rules of bloodlines and grace, not with him.
He’d always thought that angels were supposed to be holy…this felt like Hell.
